Migraine is characterized by moderate to severe headache with nausea, numbness, sudden flashes of light and increased sensitivity to light and sound. The pain can last from few hours to several days. Migraine severely decreases the quality of life for patients. Studies show that women are more prone to migraine as to men.

Ibuprofen and acetaminophen can be effective for mild migraine attacks. Depending on the severity, NSAIDs and proper analgesics along with non pharmacological treatments (acupuncture, electric stimulation, relaxation techniques etc.) are also effective.
